Leather Jackets Rock!

When you think of a leather jacket, some of you may think of a trench-coat-style jacket with a bunch of buttons and some crazy belt wrapped around it! I say, HELL NO! A leather jacket does not have to resemble every freaking jacket you see on those cheesy gangster movies!

The jacket should be fitted. It should make you look stylish and modern and not like some sleazy two-bit sales guy that's trying to make a fast buck!

Expect to drop a nice amount of money on a jacket. Some magazines may claim $300 or $500 dollars is nothing but I completely DISAGREE! The purpose of this blog is to inform you of what's hot and where to get it at a decent price. For some items, you will definitely drop more money than others but either way, I am always going to do my best to find the best bargain without skimping out on the quality...too much.

The jacket I am wearing in this picture is from Diesel. Yes, I am a fan of this label! DAMN THIS ADDICTION! It did cost me a little under 600 dollars but keep in mind that if a leather jacket is well taken care of, it will be around for a very long time.

That is also why I would suggest that you really give it some thought before investing in a jacket. Shop around and make sure you go with something more classic than trendy. I have a made a mistake or two in the past of purchasing an expensive 'trendy' item. You do not want to shell out a good amount of money on something that you won't be wearing a year later.

The jacket is fitted and simple. It's a black soft leather jacket with an elastic band on the wrists and waistband for a nice snug fit. I expect this thing to be around for a very long time.

The rest of items in this outfit are:

- 1MX Solid White Shirt by Express: These are great shirts for the office but if you have sensitive skin, I would recommend that you wear an undershirt. If you time it just right, you can score 2 for $49.95! That is a killer deal but it comes around rarely!

- Guess??? No, not the brand Guess, but guess what brand the jeans are? Diesel! These are the Zathan cut and very fitted. Right now, you may be able to score these for under $200! I believe their big sale is still taking place! If interested, race over there because they NEVER have any sales! Blurg!

- Steve Madden Shoes: Yes, they are white shoes! What of it! I like them and with this outfit, they work out really well!

- H & M Tie: If you are hitting the club, rock a skinny tie rather than the old school bit fat ties. Those are still suitable for the office but in a club, they just don't work. BTW, the ties at H & M are pretty good and reasonably priced! If you like trendy, H & M is a great spot for that because the prices are awesome and they have a lot of stuff to choose from.

- Calvin Klein Shades: The stunner shades; perfect for this outfit. But please don't be a douche bag and wear them in the club. For those of you that do...offense. That's not a typo either.

I think every good wardrobe starts with some very basic essentials. First find out what cut of jean style you look best in. (Hint take a friend with good fashion sense) Jeans and Jackets are not a one size fits all. By the way Plato's Closet has some killer deals too. I found Diesel, Guess, and get this GSTAR's at this little jewel of a shop. Keep in mind they have a lot of crap too. You have to frequently check back with them for the good finds.

When you wear something that's not within your normal dress style, how do you feel?
