On the iPod!

These are a few of the artists and their songs that I am totally killing right now!

Album: Eusebio
Artist: Giulia y los Tellarini
Song: Mil Llorares

A beautiful song about losing someone. This artist appeared on the soundtrack of 'Vicky. Christina. Barcelona.' with their catchy tune, Barcelona. Mil Llorares has a great spanish guitar, a haunting horn, and performed by an artist with an amazing voice. She sings the song with such passion and truly leaves you feeling her pain.

Standout Lyric: Pero si hay un final, que no sea verdad, que no sea verdad, quiero que sea falso, que no sea verdad, que eso es nuestro final

Album: The First Days of Spring
Artist: Noah and the Whale
Song: Blue Skies

This band is a bit different but interesting. The song is your basic sad hope type of tune. We all know that losing love sucks. It's never easy and even though you know that things will get better, you can't help but hurt. The song provides you with a keep your head up type of message and in the end, blue skies will arrive!

Standout Lyric: This is the last song that I write, while you're even on my mind

Album: Strict Joy
Artist: The Swell Season
Song: Low Rising

This duo first appeared together on the awesome musical Once. Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova are amazing artists. Their new album Strict Joy is pretty damn good. The Once soundtrack is hard to top but this album definitely provides us with some great songs. Low Rising seems to be about a couple that has hit rock bottom and now there is no where to go but up. A catchy tune that I am playing a lot at the moment!

Standout Lyric: I wanna drink with you, All night, till we both fall down

Album: The Fall
Artist: Norah Jones
Songs: Back to Manhattan & I Wouldn't Need You

I've been torn on Norah after her first album. She has ventured onto a different path and we must always respect an artist's choice to experiment with something different.

Her latest album is more bold and has some interesting production. Back to Manhattan has a very jazzy feel to it with some interesting lyrics about leaving someone or something. I'm not completely clear on her message but it's a great song. I Wouldn't Need You opens up with a very bold line and talks about her losing someone that she really needs in her life.

Standout Lyric - Back to Manhattan: But Brooklyn holds you, It holds my heart too, What a fool I was to think I could let them both go

Standout Lyric - I Wouldn't Need You: If I touched myself, The way you touched me

When you wear something that's not within your normal dress style, how do you feel?
