Summer Apparel

Growing up, I was never a fan of bright colors but over the years, I have become much more accepting of them.

Ok, let me take that back, I did rock a couple of pairs of Cross Colors in the early 90's. How I miss the 'all that' 90's...back in the dayyy....OK, nostalgic moment over.

For the 2008 Summer, I have seen a lot people sportin' a variety of items in navy blue. It is a great color and I have a lot of items in that color, but this time I decided to switch it up. Recently I went with a bright green cardigan from J. Crew. The color does stick out like a sore thumb but if your like me, making a statement via fashion is OK.

The jeans I'm rockin' are by Diesel. The Zatiny cut is quickly becoming my favorite fit that Diesel offers. Yes, the jeans cost me my right kidney and crazy overtime but I am a firm believer that shelling out a couple hundred dollars for good jeans is worth it! The Zatiny is a regular fitting jean with a bootcut.

My other 'go to' cut is the Zathan. They are also a regular fit but the leg does flare out a bit more. It actually it is pretty easy to identify a Zathan from a Zatiny pair. The legs on the Zathans are definitely much wider than the Zatiny.

The bag is by Fossil. A simple brown leather messenger bag or as they call it, The Montana Messenger. The bag looks great and has enough space to make it practical for the office. I do not recommend a bulky laptop though. A smaller or thinner notebook would do much better in this bag. My widescreen Toshiba Satellite fits, but it's pretty snug. Also, it does not have any cushioning, so you will want to be cautious about how you throw that thing around if you're carrying your laptop in it.

When you wear something that's not within your normal dress style, how do you feel?
